cal playing university of nevada. kickoff isn't for another three hours, so there's still a little bit of time before people start making their way en masse to the stadium, but you can see some cal fans making their way to the new stadium. off to the left you can see stadium workers and volunteers putting up the signs, getting things ready. they have a big banner that says welcome home. this is the first time in two years the golden bears will be playing at memorial stadium after a 321 million dollar renovation. today's game, again is a sell- out against university of nevada. and last week, engineers gave ktvu a tour through the new stadium. we saw what it looks like inside. one of the main reasons for the renovation was to do some seismic retrofit work. the old stadium was built in 1923, and it needed some earthquake safety features, because this stadium sits right on top of the hayward fault. so after the renovation, they now have some flex joints in place underneath the entire stadium. and the old concrete and wood
